URSULA VON RYDINGSVARD

Experience Bowl with Side Steps, a monumental cedar sculpture by artist Ursula von Rydingsvard. This recently acquired work is typical of the sculptor's oeuvre with uneven surfaces like those of a rugged landscape with smooth and faceted planes that appear worn and marked by time and the process of evolution. She stacks, chisels and carves cedar beams forming them into sculptures that have both an element of rawness and refinement.

Partners from the firm Neuberger Berman purchased this work in honor of Roy R. Neuberger's 100th birthday.
