WHAT'S NEU?
RECENT ADDITIONS TO THE
NEUBERGER COLLECTION

What's Neu? includes a selection of contemporary painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture that have entered the Neuberger Museum of Art's permanent collection over the past five years.

Highlights include Oliver Herring's ethereal sculptures knitted from brightly-colored plastic bags to create a sweater and a cushion; Beverly Semmes' Orange Hole, a monumentally-scaled orange velvet dress that cascades down a wall and onto the floor encircling a terracotta vase; and Taylor McKimens' Truck a large, free-standing, three-dimensional drawing inspired by comic books and Mexican tourist art.

Works by artists Gregory Crewdson, Luis Gispert, Suzanne McClelland, Doug and Mike Starn, and Ryan Trecartin will also be featured.

Some content may not be suitable for younger audiences. Adults are encouraged to preview the exhibition before touring with children.

What's Neu is on view September 13-December 13, 2009.
